About Jarid

Jarid Brown is the Director of Communications for United Way of Central Illinois in Springfield, Illinois.

In 2009, Jarid Brown left his private sector employment with a Fortune 500 Company to apply his marketing experience to the nonprofit sector. During the ensuing 3 years, Jarid Brown has established himself as a powerful voice in the nonprofit marketing community. Jarid Brown’s work with The Hope Institute in creating an integrated nonprofit marketing strategy, earned recognition throughout the nonprofit industry with case studies published on multiple nonprofit marketing websites and a cover story in the November 2011 edition of Fundraising Success Magazine.

Jarid Brown earned additional industry recognition with featured case studies on Marketing Sherpa, Constant Contact, and as the featured story of the first chapter of the 3rd Edition of Web Marketing For Dummies in January 2012.

Since 2011, responding to increased inquiries, Jarid has provided consulting and marketing development services to dozens of nonprofit organizations and private service and retail businesses.
